Not quite, but the route does cross the Corrieyairack pass along the highest mountain road in Scotland (as I discovered today). The summit is at 2526ft (770m). The summit is suitably equipped in case a nightstop should become necessary:

The Challenge sounds fantastic and No-Fear-Worthy! Still hoping for a visit before your September arrival. Hoping we can manage a weekend with all 3 of us but depends on Kev's work, flight times and prices etc. Will let you know when we've more idea xx
